DESCRIPTION:\n\nON VIEW: The Hymn of Leaves, Sa Dulo ng Hinahon, and Playgrounds, a ternary exhibition from the CANVAS – Center for Art, New Ventures & Sustainable Development, in partnership with Marahuyo Art Projects, is now on view at the Atrium of the UP Fine Arts Gallery. 🍂🌺🛝\n​\nNow in their fifth year at Parola, CANVAS PH presents three exhibitions threading themes of tradition, resistance, and community.\n​\nThe Hymn of Leaves features the works of Chad Montero and the story of Katrina Macapagal, winner of the 35th Romeo Forbes Children’s Story Writing Competition. The exhibit presents the story of Sinta and the residents of Barangay Sigasig on a journey of emancipation through song and collective resistance.\n​\nBrian Barrios’ Sa Dulo ng Hinahon threads and remounts moments of solidarity from his long practice as an artist and community organizer. Primarily presenting acrylic works in this exhibition, Barrios expands his usual mode of artmaking by translating printing techniques onto canvas.\n​\nAs part of their Art 4 Development Project, Playgrounds artists explore the idea of play and safe spaces for children through the reimagination and inquiry of familiar childhood experiences and memories.\n​\nFREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC\n​\n🌟 ARTIST RECEPTION 🌟\nJuly 25, 2026, 4 PM\nAtrium, UP Fine Arts Gallery\nArts and Design West Hall, College of Fine Arts\n​\nThe Hymn of Leaves, Sa Dulo ng Hinahon, and Playgrounds will run until July 31, 2026, at the Atrium of the UP Fine Arts Gallery.\n​\nParola is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 9 AM to 4 PM at the Arts and Design West Hall, College of Fine Arts, Diliman, Quezon City.
