Napalinga\nPsychiatry Residency Program Director, Tower Health Reading Hospital\nReading, Pennsylvania, USA\n\n———————————————————–\n\nWebinar #301\nSeptember 25, 2026 (Friday), 12:00 noon\nCan Technology Improve Care for Depression, Anxiety, at Iba Pa?\n\nAddressing the global burden of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, and complex psychiatric conditions requires a fundamental evolution in how healthcare ecosystems deliver evidence-based interventions. Frontline healthcare workers increasingly serve as the initial point of contact for individuals experiencing psychological distress. However, systemic barriers such as clinical workforce shortages, geographic disparities, and pervasive social stigma frequently delay timely specialized care. In this week’s episode, we will attempt to critically evaluate the transformative potential of modern digital health paradigms in bridging these persistent gaps.\n\nWe will discuss the clinical data surrounding prescription digital therapeutics, AI-augmented telepsychiatry platforms, and passive digital phenotyping. We may explore how software-as-a-medical-device interventions can serve as scalable adjuncts to pharmacotherapy and standard psychotherapy. Beyond therapeutic modalities, we will discuss actionable frameworks for multi-tiered care by emphasizing how routine primary care workflows can incorporate remote symptom tracking to detect early subclinical decompensation and optimize patient outcomes.\n\nWe aim to gain a nuanced understanding of how digital modalities extend care beyond traditional brick-and-mortar settings while maintaining therapeutic alliance and patient safety. Critical considerations around digital health equity, algorithm transparency, and health data privacy will be examined to ensure ethical implementation across diverse patient populations. Our main speaker is Dr. Katherine M. Napalinga, who is the Psychiatry Residency Program Director at Tower Health Reading Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA.\n\nJoin us as we learn how to lead the future of integrated, technology-enabled mental healthcare.\n
