UP Mindanao joins the 18-Day-Campaign to End Violence Against Women and the national advocacy for the implementation of Republic Act 11313 or the "Safe Spaces Act." As one of the activities for the campaign, the Office of Gender and Development (UPMin GAD) will conduct a webinar on November 18, 2021, 8AM-12 Noon via Zoom.

The webinar will feature the lecture, “A VAW-Free Community Starts with Me: Forging the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children.” The resource speaker is Ms. Lorna B. Mandin, Head of the Davao City Integrated Gender and Development Division. The webinar will also feature videos showing that violence against women (VAW) is a persistent human rights issue that needs to be addressed. Register for FREE at https://bit.ly/VAW-FreeCommunity

The 18-Day Campaign to End VAW starts on November 25 to December 12, 2021. Back in May 2021, the UPMin GAD and Office of Anti-Sexual Harassment (OASH) jointly conducted a webinar to inform about the Safe Spaces Act.
