Namumulitika? O Kung Paano Pag-Aralan ang Pakikilahok sa Pulitika

“Mamamayan lang naman ako. Aanhin ko ba ang politika na ‘yan?” Kung iisipin natin, mahalaga ang gampanin natin bilang mga Pilipino sa pamamahala ng ating bansa. Tayo ang pumipili kung sino ang ihahalal sa pwesto, at sa atin din ang balik ng mga polisiyang binubuo ng mga politiko (gusto man natin o hindi). Dapat lang talaga na nasasalamin ang ating mga saloobin at pangangailangan sa bawat desisyon na ginagawa ng pamahalaan.
Kaya layunin ng talakayan na ito na sagutin: Sino ba naman tayo para lumahok sa politika? Bakit at paano tayo lumalahok? Anong mapapala natin kung tayo ay sasabak o iiwas na lang? Pwede bang mag-isa o sama-sama? Kailangan bang buong sarili ang ibigay, o pwede na ang “pwede na”?

“I’m just a citizen. What does politics have to do with me?” If we think about it, us Filipinos play an important role in how our country is governed. We choose who are elected into positions, and all policies created by politicians affect us (whether we like it or not). It is then only fair that our sentiments and needs are reflected in every decision made by our government.
That is why this discussion aims to answer: Who are we to be involved in politics? Why and how do we engage in it? What do we get when we participate or disengage? Can we participate alone or together? Do we have to commit completely, or is doing just enough okay?
