Math anxiety not only has effects on performance on math-related situations but it also influences long-term learning. Thus, with the sudden transition to virtual learning, the levels of math anxiety on students tends to increase.
With this, UNO: Ang Umuunawa, Umaantabay, at Umuusad ng mga Oportunidad para sa mga Kabataan, invites you to the webinar on “Overcoming Math Anxiety in this New Normal Setup” with our speaker, Ms. Shielden Grail S. Domilies, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Saint Louis University and a lecturer of University of the Philippines Baguio, on the 15th of May, 2021 (Saturday) from 10:00-11:30 in the morning via Zoom.
This webinar aims to tackle math anxiety, its causes or factors, and tips to overcome this anxiety. Moreover, the webinar would serve as a means to teach people ways to prevent it from happening and to discuss how teachers and parents could assist their students struggling with such anxiety. It would also want to assist high school and college students in terms of their academics, not just in Mathematics. This webinar wants to set straight and debunk certain misconceptions and social constructs surrounding Mathematics.
