Structural Landscape of SARS-CoV-2 entry and Activation of Spike Glycoprotein by Engaging Unique Host Factors and Potential Interventions

April 7 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Institute of Biology is honored to invite all students, faculty, alumni, and members of the university community to a special seminar featuring Dr. Naveen Vankadari, a Senior Research Fellow and Lecturer from the Department of Biochemistry at The University of Melbourne.

The lecture, titled “Structural Landscape of SARS-CoV-2 entry and Activation of Spike Glycoprotein by Engaging Unique Host Factors and Potential Interventions,” will delve into the complex molecular interactions that facilitate viral infection.

Dr. Vankadari’s expertise in biochemistry and structural biology provides a unique perspective on how the virus utilizes specific host factors for activation, offering critical insights into the development of future therapeutic interventions.

This event will take place on 7 April 2026 at 1:00 PM in Room 203 of the Institute of Biology.
