SUMMARY:UP Symphony Orchestra Concert: Symphonic Rides
DESCRIPTION:The UP Symphony Orchestra will be having a benefit concert entitled “Symphonic Rides” at the UP Theater on August 18\, 2023\, starting at 6pm.\n\nThe concert features Indiana University graduate Kevin Castelo on timpani as soloist. It also includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony 5\, Jonathan Domingo’s Mga Musika at Tagpo sa Tinubuang Lupa\, and works by Adams and Kraft.\n\nA portion of the proceeds of the ticket sales will be donated to the UP College of Music Alumni Association’s MusiKalinga scholarship grant. Founded in 2019\, MusiKalinga gives a stipend to students for their meals\, mobile data\, and other academic requirements for one semester.\n\nTickets are priced at Php1\,000 and Php800\, with a 50% discount available for students\, seniors\, and PWDs.
