DESCRIPTION:The Department of Clinical Epidemiology and the Institute of Clinical Epidemiology are celebrating the 40th year of clinical epidemiology in the Philippines. This year’s theme is ‘Advancing Equity in the Evolving Health Landscape.’ One of the highlights of the celebration is an art exhibit from September 6 to 20 at the UPCM Calderon Hall lobby. This exhibit\, titled “Beyond Science 2\,” will feature works by students\, faculty\, alumni\, staff\, and their families and friends in various art forms such as visual arts\, bonsai\, arts and crafts\, photography\, music\, and literary pieces.\n\nJoin us for a series of art workshops showcasing visual art\, bonsai\, and arts and crafts. This seminar presents a review of metal additive manufacturing and the projects of the UNB Alloy Design Research Laboratory in collaboration with Canadian industry partners. The talk aims to offer a general introduction to AM technologies\, as well as an understanding of the current state of research on metal AM and its capabilities. Participants will gain insights into the fundamentals of metal AM and its diverse processing methods\, alongside an introduction to the intricate physics of melt pool formation and the evolution of microstructure during solidification.
