This asynchronous and self-paced online course will discuss topics on animal welfare\, legal bases\, the institutional animal care and use committee\, and the fundamentals of animal use in research. DESCRIPTION:The UP Center for International Studies invites you to the 2024 Consuelo Joaquin-Paz Memorial Lecture on Monday\, 7 October 2024. It will be held at the Balay Kalinaw Dining Area from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.\n\nThe lecture is in commemoration of the second death anniversary of Consuelo Joaquin-Paz on 15 September. She is the founding director of the UPCIS and an accomplished academician in Philippine linguistics and cultural studies.\n\nUPCIS Visiting Research Fellows\, Prof. Yasuyo Fukunaga of Ferris University\, Mr. Paul Quintos of City University of Hong Kong\, Mr. Mark Ambay of University of Melbourne and Department of European Languages faculty\, Prof. Jillian Loise Melchor will give a lecture on their respective areas of research.
