DESCRIPTION:The UP Fine Arts Gallery invites everyone to the launch of Lyra Garcellano’s book\, Elsewhere: Writing on Art on October 9\, 2024\, at 2 PM in the Gallery Lobby.\n​\nLyra Garcellano’s research centers on the exploration of art ecosystems and historical narratives\, and her output is often presented as installations\, paintings\, moving images\, comics and writing. She is particularly interested in how prevailing models in the art world impact artistic practice.\n​\nElsewhere: Writing on Art is her first book of essays.\n​\nLyra graduated with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Ateneo de Manila University.
