DESCRIPTION:UP-CIDS and MSU Tawi-Tawi mounts international conference on the Sulu Archipelago\n\nThe University of the Philippines – Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP-CIDS) and Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) in Bongao\, Tawi-Tawi are mounting a historic transdisciplinary international conference\, which will bring together a diverse group of scholars to discuss relevant issues\, including the role of the Sulu Archipelago in the dynamics of nation-building in the region and the existing cultural\, ecological\, and socio-economic currents that flow through its maritime border zone today\, among others.\n\nSlated to happen from 12-14 November 2024 in Bongao\, Tawi-Tawi\, the international conference is in partnership with the Philippine Studies Association (PSA\, Inc.)\, with support from the Australian National University (ANU) Philippines Institute.
