DESCRIPTION:The Program on Social and Political Change (PSPC)\, UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (CIDS) is launching the website of and holding a miniforum on the “Philippine Local Government Interactive Dataset Project\,” on 8 November 2024\, 9:00 am–12:00 nn (Philippine Standard Time)\, UP CIDS\, Lower G/F\, Ang Bahay ng Alumni\, UP Diliman\, Quezon City. The event is free and open to the public\, but seats are first-come\, first-served. Participants are encouraged to register.\n \n\nSIGN UP: YES\, I WILL ATTEND!\nAbout the Project\n\nThe “Philippine Local Government Interactive Dataset Project” is a website that compiles publicly available electoral and fiscal data from 1992 to 2022 from multiple sources\, and presents this information in a user-friendly interface complete with charts\, graphs and other modes of visualization.\n\nCovering all candidates\, all provinces\, and all cities across three decades\, this data-driven platform helps the public: \n\nIdentify election winners and losers from 1992 to 2022\nTrace election patterns and LGU performance for over three decades/li>\nVisualize complex data/li>\nDetermine LGU spending on public services\n\nBy offering insights into local government structures\, functions\, and performance\, this groundbreaking initiative seeks to empower citizens to create informed decisions on political candidates. Our distinguished panel of gynecologic oncologists will shed light on the latest research and clinical practices to empower healthcare providers and the public to combat this disease effectively.\n\nWe will discuss the risk factors\, including age\, obesity\, reproductive history\, and hormonal factors\, that contribute to its development. We will also discuss lifestyle modifications\, such as maintaining a healthy weight and regular physical activity\, that can significantly reduce the risk of developing this disease. Additionally\, we will discuss the importance of routine gynecological examinations\, including pelvic exams and Pap smears\, in identifying early signs of endometrial cancer. Finally\, we will talk about minimally invasive surgical techniques.\n\nLaparoscopy and robotic surgery offer numerous advantages over traditional open surgery\, including smaller incisions\, reduced pain\, faster recovery time\, and improved cosmetic outcomes. We will discuss the indications\, techniques\, and outcomes of these minimally invasive procedures for endometrial cancer.\n\nOur main presenter is Dr. Renee Vina G.
