One such groundbreaking innovation that has captivated the world of orthopedics is the Ilizarov method. Pioneered by the visionary Russian orthopedic surgeon\, Dr. Gavriil Abramovich Ilizarov\, this method has demonstrated unparalleled success in treating bone deformities and various bone-related conditions.\n\nThe Ilizarov method has emerged as a game-changer in the treatment of challenging skeletal conditions. Its beauty lies in its simplicity and profound efficacy. Through external fixation devices and gradual distraction osteogenesis\, it defies conventional wisdom\, providing a beacon of hope to those afflicted by debilitating bone conditions. In this webinar\, real-life case studies will illuminate the diverse spectrum of bone deformities it can address\, with each case a testament to the method’s ability to restore mobility and quality of life to patients whose hopes had previously dwindled.\n\nThis week on STOP COVID DEATHS\, we will learn from the collective knowledge and experiences of esteemed orthopedic experts from the UP-PGH Department of Orthopedics. Our main speaker will be Dr. Cielo Balce\, who is the current head of the Ilizarov Limb Fixation and Reconstructive Service while our reactor will be Dr. Juanito S. Javier\, who is the former chair of the same department. The Synthesis and Closing Remarks will be delivered by Dr. Stella Marie L. Jose\, who is the Head of the PGH Office of Expanded Education and Training.\n\nJoin us in this extraordinary journey into the world of the Ilizarov method. Let us stand united\, armed with knowledge and determination\, as we strive to create a world where bone deformities and other bone conditions are not shackles but mere stepping stones on the path to healing and recovery.\n\nTogether\, we can STOP C.O.V.I.D. DEATHS!

These cutting-edge technologies have revolutionized diagnostic precision and therapeutic interventions\, elevating patient care to unprecedented heights.\n\nOver the years\, endoscopy has evolved from simple visual inspection to a realm of high-definition wonders. Advanced endoscopic imaging technologies\, such as narrow-band imaging (NBI) and confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE)\, have empowered clinicians to detect subtle mucosal changes and characterize lesions with unparalleled precision. Early detection of gastrointestinal malignancies\, such as colorectal cancer\, has become a reality\, positively impacting patient outcomes.\n\nGone are the days when surgery was the only option for treating gastrointestinal diseases. Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) have emerged as game-changers\, enabling minimally invasive removal of early-stage gastrointestinal tumors. Flexible endoscopes equipped with high-definition cameras\, innovative accessories\, and improved sedation protocols have transformed the patient experience.\n\nThis week on STOP COVID DEATHS\, we shall dive into the world of novel gastroscopy techniques\, emphasizing how patient comfort and procedural efficiency are now at the forefront of gastroenterological practices. Our main speaker will be Dr. Peter P. Sy\, who is the current Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology of the UP-PGH Department of Medicine while our reactor will be Dr. Mark Anthony A. De Lusong\, who is the Assistant Division Chief and Head of Advanced Endoscopy at UP-PGH. The Synthesis and Closing Remarks will be delivered by Dr. Stella Marie L. Jose\, who is the Head of the PGH Office of Expanded Education and Training.\n\nJoin us on a journey through the frontiers of endoscopy and gastroscopy as we explore the latest breakthroughs and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. Together\, we can STOP C.O.V.I.D. DEATHS!
