One such crucial thread is attachment style\, a psychological construct that profoundly influences how individuals relate to themselves and others. In this week’s episode\, we will discuss the intricate relationship between attachment styles and mental health outcomes in this critical developmental period.\n\nOur esteemed panel of speaker-experts will unravel the complexities of attachment theory\, exploring the four primary attachment styles: secure\, anxious-preoccupied\, dismissive-avoidant\, and fearful-avoidant. We will learn how these styles develop and how they manifest in adolescent and young adult behavior. We will look into the far-reaching impact of attachment styles on various mental health conditions\, including anxiety\, depression\, substance abuse\, and relationship difficulties.\n\nWe will discuss the practical strategies for fostering healthy attachment relationships and promoting mental well-being in adolescents and young adults. These strategies may include therapeutic interventions\, communication techniques\, and supportive parenting practices.\n\nOur main presenter is Dr. Constantine David Della\, who is a past president of the Philippine Psychiatric Association and is the current head of the Division of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the UP-PGH Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. Our reactor is Dr. Michael P. Sionzon\, who is the chief resident from the same department.\n\nJoin us as we explore the power of attachment in shaping the mental health trajectories of our youth. By the end of the webinar\, we hope the audience will be better equipped to recognize the signs of distress\, provide compassionate support\, and guide individuals toward a path of healing and resilience. So that together\, we can stop preventable deaths!

SUMMARY:Webinar on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice
DESCRIPTION:The classes of HPEd 322 and HP 222 of the National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions\, University of the Philippines Manila cordially invite you to the Webinar on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice on 28 November 2024\, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM via Zoom.\n\nAbout this Webinar\n\nThe need for a safe\, comprehensive\, inclusive\, and efficient delivery of healthcare services has never been so critical with the rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape. Integrating interprofessional education in the curricula to provide a platform for future collaborative practice is a global consensus mainly thrust into mitigating the global health workforce crisis.\n\nThe World Health Organization crafted the Framework for Action on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice to provide innovative strategies that policy-makers can adopt to implement elements of interprofessional education and collaborative practice that are appropriate and beneficial in various contexts (World Health Organization\, 2010). However\, after over a decade\, IPE/C remains an ideal concept that has yet to be fully realized in the Philippines.\n\nThis webinar aims to present the state of Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice in the Philippine Health and Education Systems and offer practicable\, context-specific\, best strategies for institutionalizing and operationalizing IPE/C.\n\nSource: NTTCHP UP Manila Facebook
