The alumni of the UPSE Program in Development Economics, in partnership with the Philippine Center for Economic Development (PCED), invite you to the 2nd Ruperto P. Alonzo (RPA) Memorial Lecture on 8 February 2024, 3:00 PM, to be held at the Elizabeth Yu Gokongwei Room, UPSE Encarnacion Hall.
Titled “The Nuclear Option,” this lecture will provide an opportunity to delve into the potential of nuclear power for the Philippines with a discussion revolving around the use of nuclear technology to address the trilemma of energy security, sustainability, and competitiveness goals in relation to the revised Philippine Energy Plan (2023-2050) that features investments in nuclear plants as early as 2032.
