This lecture is part of the Seminar and Workshop Series of Dr Aranas on Advanced Manufacturing of Metallic Materials. This seminar will focus on the crucial role of alloy design in achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 in Canada. The University of New Brunswick Alloy Design Research Laboratory (ADRL) with Dr Aranas as the Director, leads in this initiative focused on both conventional and additive manufacturing processes to reduce carbon emissions in various sectors, including manufacturing, transportation, defense, and biomedical industries.
The ultimate goal is to support the design and manufacturing of alloys that reduce energy consumption, thereby decreasing carbon emissions and promoting sustainability.
