“Approaches, Regulatory Challenges, and Advances in Bioequivalence, Dissolution Testing, and Biowaivers”

The UP College of Pharmacy is holding a three-day webinar series co-hosted by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists – In Vitro Release and Dissolution Testing (AAPS-IVRDT) Outreach Community, to be held on February 22, 23, and 24, 2023 via Zoom platform. Registration is free and with applied CPD units for pharmacists.
The theme of the webinar series is “Approaches, Regulatory Challenges, and Advances in Bioequivalence, Dissolution Testing, and Biowaivers.” Pharmacists from the pharmaceutical industry, academe, research, regulatory affairs, hospitals, the Philippine FDA, and DOH will find the topics in this webinar interesting and very relevant and beneficial to pharmacists and to their pharmacy practice.
The webinar aims to:
· Discuss the use of dissolution testing as a tool for Quality Control and drug development in bioequivalence and bioavailability studies and in biowaivers.
· Explain new regulatory information on dissolution testing, BA/BE studies and biowaivers and the challenges encountered in generic drug registration using these methods.
· Describe recent advances in research and the application of dissolution testing, BA/BE studies, and the use of biowaivers.
· Develop networking for research collaboration, knowledge sharing, education, and industry exchange in dissolution, biowaiver, and bioequivalence topics.
