“Disasters in the Philippines: Before and After Haiyan” Virtual Book Launch

In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Super Typhoon Yolanda, the UP Tacloban-Division of Social Sciences invites everyone to the Virtual Book Launch of Disasters in the Philippines: Before and After Haiyan at 8 AM and a Resilience Forum at 10 AM on November 28, 2023, via Zoom.
Join editors, Dr. Glenda Tibe Bonifacio of Lakehead University and Dr. Roxanna Balbido Epe of the University of Lethbridge, and the chapter authors as they share their experiences in writing about the challenges in disaster-afflicted communities in the Philippines, inefficiencies of policies and responses, and forms of empowerment and resilience.
The book launch will be followed by a Resilience Forum featuring the research of Dr. Kanako Iuchi of Tohuku University and Dr. Marieta Sumagaysay of UP Tacloban College.
