About the Project

The “Philippine Local Government Interactive Dataset Project” is a website that compiles publicly available electoral and fiscal data from 1992 to 2022 from multiple sources, and presents this information in a user-friendly interface complete with charts, graphs and other modes of visualization.

Covering all candidates, all provinces, and all cities across three decades, this data-driven platform helps the public:

  • Identify election winners and losers from 1992 to 2022
  • Trace election patterns and LGU performance for over three decades/li>
  • Visualize complex data/li>
  • Determine LGU spending on public services

By offering insights into local government structures, functions, and performance, this groundbreaking initiative seeks to empower citizens to create informed decisions on political candidates. It also seeks to promote a more transparent and accountable local governance system in the Philippines.
