Filipino Sign Language: Filipino Sign Language Numerals and the Expansion of Deaf Linguistic Repertoire

The seventh installment of PILLS will feature MA Linguistics alumna, Liberty Notarte-Balanquit. In her lecture, Balanquit will discuss the Filipino Sign Language, a language system borrowed from American Sign Language (ASL) (including phonological and semantic variants), and lexicalized signs based on Manually-Coded English (MCE).
