Webinar #216

Kanser sa Matris
Latest Technology Using Laparoscopy and Robotics
Endometrial cancer, a silent yet significant health concern, is often overlooked despite its increasing prevalence. Our distinguished panel of gynecologic oncologists will shed light on the latest research and clinical practices to empower healthcare providers and the public to combat this disease effectively.
We will discuss the risk factors, including age, obesity, reproductive history, and hormonal factors, that contribute to its development. We will also discuss lifestyle modifications, such as maintaining a healthy weight and regular physical activity, that can significantly reduce the risk of developing this disease. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams and Pap smears, in identifying early signs of endometrial cancer. Finally, we will talk about minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Laparoscopy and robotic surgery offer numerous advantages over traditional open surgery, including smaller incisions, reduced pain, faster recovery time, and improved cosmetic outcomes. We will discuss the indications, techniques, and outcomes of these minimally invasive procedures for endometrial cancer.
Our main presenter is Dr. Renee Vina G. Sicam, who serves as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, UP – Philippine General Hospital. Our reactor is Dr. Maria Julieta V. Germar, who serves as Professor 4 in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, UP – Philippine General Hospital and is a past president of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists of the Philippines.
Join us so you can be equipped with the necessary information when making informed decisions about health, especially on how to take proactive steps to reduce their risk of endometrial cancer. Together, we can stop preventable deaths!
