This series of lectures hopes to intelligently put together fabrics of social history and philosophical inquiry into the exploration of private life.
Its range and level of discussion hope to intrigue anyone who has wondered about past attitudes to such matters as promiscuity, emotions, seduction, intellectual partnership, culture, women in war, bigamy, and imperial love.
