The National Institutes of Health, University of the Philippines Manila, will have a year-long commemoration of its 26th anniversary, featuring the theme “Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Population Health Research: Ensuring Better Health Research Practices, Interventions, Policies, and Outcomes for All.” The first exciting event in the series of the year-long celebration will be held on 28 February 2024, Wednesday, from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm, on the 7th floor of Henry Sy Senior Plenary Hall, Henry Sy, Sr. Building, University of the Philippines Manila.
Highlighting the program is the National Scientist on National Scientist discussion of the theme by two eminent national scientists and former Chancellors of UP Manila, Dr. Carmencita D. Padilla and Dr Ernesto Domingo, to be moderated by the Director, Programme Management of WHO, Western Pacific Region, Dr Susan P. Mercado.
We invite all researchers, faculty members, students, industry leaders, partner institutions, and stakeholders to join us and be part of this celebration as our scientist leaders set forward the health and research path aligned with the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) while encouraging the participants to take concrete action in addressing the country’s prevailing health disparity issues.
