“Kasarian Workshop”

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) in working with the UP Min Gender and Development Office will conduct a face-to-face “Kasarian Workshop” on May 24, 2023, Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the University Library, LEMITO.
Kasarian is a decolonized framework for understanding gender diversity in the Philippines that addresses the gaps in the mainstream SOGIESC framework. This workshop aims to reflect on the diversity of human gender and sexuality in the Philippine context, reflect on your roles as GAD workers in the university setting, and come up with ways and strategies to apply learning in different areas of work and life.
We are inviting the UP Mindanao Administrative Staff, Faculty members, Students, Security Guards, and Janitors to attend the workshop.
