KISs Me: Key Instructional Strategies in Mathematics Education

April 13 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Our KaSaMa Mathematics teachers ask: “What truly is the best way to teach mathematics to young children?”

If you’re a teacher pondering on the same question or has a keen interest in Mathematics Education research, then save the date: 13 April 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, for our webinar titled, “KISs Me: Key Instructional Strategies in Mathematics Education.”

In this webinar, Dr. Aida Yap and Ms. Edna Callanta of the Elementary School Mathematics Group of UP NISMED will share the results of a study they conducted to assess the current state of early grade (K to 3) mathematics instruction in the Philippines. Our speakers will share four key instructional strategies that help deepen young children’s understanding of mathematical concepts.

This study is part of USAID’s ABC+ (Advancing Basic Education in the Philippines) project and was conducted in collaboration with the Research Triangle Institute (RTI) International.
