LA HISTORIA OLVIDADA: FILIPINAS-MEXICO 2024

The Embassy of the Philippines in Mexico, in partnership with the UP Departamento ng Kasaysayan of the University of the Philippines, El Colegio de San Luis, A.C., and the Philippine-Mexico Studies Program of UNAM Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), is pleased to invite you to the ninth episode of LA HISTORIA OLVIDADA: FILIPINAS-MEXICO 2024, a virtual colloquium series on Philippine-Mexico relations, to be held via Zoom on 19 October 2024 at 8:30-10:00 A.M., Philippine time.
The resource speaker, Dr. Emmanuel Franco Calairo, Chairman of the Cavite Historical Society and Former Chairman of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, will discuss “The Cavite Studies Center and the Preservation of the Manila Galleon Heritage.”
This colloquium series aims to highlight pivotal events and contexts that have shaped the engagements between the Philippines and Mexico, spanning from the sixteenth century to the contemporary period. The presentation of Dr. Calairo will be in English.
