Third Episode of “La Historia Olvidada: Filipinas-México 2025”
In celebration of the Philippine National Food Month, the Philippine Embassy in Mexico, in partnership with the Departamento ng Kasaysayan of the University of the Philippines, El Colegio de San Luis, and the Philippine-Mexico Studies Program, UNAM Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México supported by the Office of Senator Loren Legarda, invites you to the third episode of “LA HISTORIA OLVIDADA: FILIPINAS-MEXICO 2025,” a virtual colloquium series on Philippine-Mexico relations, to be held via Zoom on 26 April 2025 at 8:30-10:00 A.M., Philippine time.
The resource speaker, Chef Claude Tayag, Filipino artist, restaurateur and food writer, will talk on “The Philippines – More Mexican than Spanish: Foodways that Crossed the Pacific”. The presentation will be in English.
This colloquium series which will be streamed live via Post’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@PHinMexico/streams) aims to highlight pivotal events and contexts that have shaped the engagements between the Philippines and Mexico, spanning from the sixteenth century to the contemporary period.
