Did you know that 2,000 years ago, jar burials were a common burial practice in the Bacong area of Negros Oriental?
This was also common practice in several parts of the Philippines and glass beads have often been seen as either a grave good or part of the deceased’s attire, ultimately contained within the burial jars. Join us this 26th of February, 2025 (Wednesday) as Ms. Alexandra De Leon of the National Museum of the Philippines, discusses the composition of these glass beads which helps determine where they may have come from.
