The 2022 Open Generation Study conducted by Barna Group reveals that 95% of the Filipino youth holds the Christian Faith dearly and sees it as a way to seek social justice. Meanwhile, in the Bangsamoro region, the Bangsamoro Development Plan has identified moral governance as a core standard of public service where Ibadah (worship), Ikhlas (sincerity), Hamd (praise), Sabr (patience), Taqwa (piety), Shura (consultation), Maslaha (public interest), and Tawakkul (reliance to God) must all come into play in rule-setting and decision-making processes.
In a country riddled with issues of extreme poverty, corruption, lack of job security, and inequality, how does faith shape the change we need? Would it be a viable catalyst for governance reform, innovation and transformation? Is faith the missing element we have all been looking for?
