Tobacco use remains a pressing public health issue in the Philippines, posing a significant challenge to the nation’s well-being. We will have a comprehensive exploration of the Filipino smoking landscape. We will also delve into the prevalence of smoking across different regions, the socio-economic factors influencing tobacco use, and the unique challenges faced by the Philippines in combating this public health crisis. Understanding these nuances is essential for tailoring effective interventions.

Cultural sensitivity is paramount when addressing smoking cessation in the Philippines. In this webinar, we will provide guidance on how to approach smoking cessation discussions with respect for diverse backgrounds and beliefs. We will explore the importance of cultural competence in building trust and rapport with patients, enhancing the likelihood of successful smoking cessation outcomes.

Our speakers will guide you through the latest research, evidence-based strategies, and updated guidelines for smoking cessation. You will gain insights into pharmacotherapy options, counseling techniques, and behavioral interventions that have proven successful in helping individuals quit smoking. These strategies will be presented with a specific focus on how they can be adapted to suit the Filipino context, ensuring their applicability in your daily practice.
