Evolving Management of Pediatric Surgical Conditions

In order to discuss the ever-evolving landscape of pediatric surgical care in the Philippines, we will delve into a comprehensive examination of the current state of pediatric surgical conditions with an emphasis on the unique challenges faced within the Philippine healthcare system.

In this week’s episode of Stop C.O.V.I.D. Deaths, we will tackle the latest surgical techniques and innovative approaches in preoperative and postoperative pediatric surgical care. Special emphasis will be given to the integration of cutting-edge technologies, such as minimally invasive procedures and robotic surgery, in addressing pediatric surgical conditions. Discussions will extend to the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, emphasizing the role of teamwork in delivering optimal outcomes for young patients.

Our main presenter is Dr. Esther A. Saguil, who is a pediatric surgeon and consultant from the Department of Surgery of the UP-Philippine General Hospital while our reactor is Dr. Rodolfo G. Tuazon, Jr., who is the current President of the Philippine Society of Pediatric Surgeons. The Synthesis and Closing Remarks will be delivered by Dr. Stella Marie L. Jose, who is the Head of the Office of Expanded Education and Training at the UP Philippine General Hospital.
