The University of the Philippines (UP) Marine Science Institute will be hosting a hybrid Symposium on Submarine Groundwater Discharge: Nature, Geochemistry, Coral, and Microbial Communities on January 23, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the UP MSI Audio-Visual Room in UP Diliman, Quezon City, and via Zoom.
The event is part of the Biodiversity and Resilience of Coral Reefs and Associated Ecosystems in Submarine Groundwater Discharge (SGD) Areas program, funded by the Deparment of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARD). Focusing on advancing the understanding of SGD, the program has made significant strides in submarine groundwater research over the two and a half years.
