Talakayan sa Bulwagan – Session 2: Artistic Responses to Environmental Sustainability

Join us in the second session of the Talakayan sa Bulwagan!

For this session, we’ll be dwelling on the potentials of art in promoting climate awareness and ecological mindfulness. We will be having a keynote presentation (pre-recorded video) from John Kenneth Paranada</strong,> Curator of Art and Climate Change at the Sainsbury Centre, University of East Anglia; and a roundtable discussion with the following contemporary art practitioners:

Cian Dayrit, Artist and Geographer
David Loughran, Curator and Co-Founder of Emerging Islands
Issay Rodriguez, Artist, Teacher, Researcher

The session was convened and will be moderated by Con Cabrera.
The session is free but due to limited slots available, we will be accommodating registrations based on a first-register, first-served basis.

Session 2: Artistic Responses to Environmental Sustainability

The first two sessions of the program focus on the notion of equity, a key idea in the theme of this year’s UP Diliman Arts and Culture Festival, which bears the theme “Kalahok sa Nagbabagong Kalikasan.” These are organized in partnership with the U.P. Theater Complex, and are supported by the UP Diliman OICA.
