“The coloniality of ruins: Digital technologies and colonial genealogies in humanitarian emergencies”

CMC’s Office of Research and Publication (ORP), in cooperation with the UP CMC Department of Communication Research, will have back-to-back presentations on November 20 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the CMC Auditorium.

Professor Mirca Madianou of the University of London will present her research, “The coloniality of ruins: Digital technologies and colonial genealogies in humanitarian emergencies” at 1:00 – 2:30 pm.

This will be followed by Associate Professor Christian Greiffenhagen of the The Hong Kong Polytechnic University of Hong Kong with his research, “The disciplined customer: A video-based study of automated self-service hotels” at 2:30 – 4:00 pm.
