The UP Manila Museum of a History of Ideas presents Kumpas Artist Talk: Capturing Narratives, an exploration on how the art of photography captures narratives and serves as a powerful tool to address contemporary issues. The talk will be held on September 28, 2023 (Thursday), at 10:00 AM, via Zoom.
Our resource speaker is renowned Filipina author and photographer Xyza Cruz Bacani. With a background as a domestic worker in Hong Kong, her work often highlights social issues, human rights, and the lives of marginalized communities. Joining her as moderator is photographer, video editor, and UP Manila alumna Jia Ignacio.
