UP Public Service Summit

In line with the University of the Philippines’ (UP) mandate “to lead as a public service university,” UP Padayon Public Service Office, the Office of the Faculty Regent, and the All U.P. Academic Employees Union will hold the UP Public Service Summit on May 30-31, 2024 in UP Diliman.

This is phase one of a series of consultative meetings and conversations about public service from the perspective of various stakeholders in UP from faculty, staff, and REPS from various CUs in order to create a more enabling environment for public service to thrive and flourish.

This month’s Summit will focus on faculty members and hopes to achieve the following objectives:
• To facilitate the sharing of values, experiences, and practices among public service institutions and organizations in the UP;
• To institutionalize public service in existing arrangements and processes in UP, including promotion and tenure;
• To promote collaboration between and among public service institutions and organizations in UP

The activity is also in partnership with the Office of the UP President, Office of the Vice President for Public Affairs, Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and the All UP Academic Employees Union – Manila Chapter.
