The Department of Linguistics and its alumni and Extramural Classes bring you another installment of the X² Talk Series. X² is an event powered by the Department alumni and the extramural classes that features workshops and talks on the different national languages and cultures of Asia. This installment showcases the many Asian autumn festivals and will involve fun workshops on Japanese lantern painting, Thai lantern Loy Krathong making, and Chinese Mooncake designing.

Also brewing alongside X² is the Department’s Lang Café series. The Lang Café is an open space for students and alumni of the Department’s regular and extramural classes to read books, to play games, and to talk while enjoying coffee.

This day-long event is free and an open space for everyone.

May the glowing lanterns guide you there! 🏮
