The UP Diliman Department of Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (UP DMMME) invites everyone to the Balik Scientist Program (BSP) Exit Presentation of Prof. Emmanuel U. Pornillos, DOST Balik Scientist and consultant specializing in tailings processing technology.

Prof. Pornillos will present:
“The Adoption of Best Available Technologies for Tailings Management is Critical to Restoring Local Community Trust and Securing the Social License to Operate Within the Philippine Mineral and Laterite Sectors”

The presentation will highlight the importance of adopting appropriate technologies and sound tailings management practices in strengthening environmental performance, rebuilding community trust, and supporting the social acceptability of mining operations in the Philippines.
