💡 ABOUT THE LECTURE⁣
⁣⁣
Non-equilibrium plasma offers highly reactive environments that can modify material surfaces efficiently, even at room temperature. While many promising results have been demonstrated in laboratory-scale plasma reactors, translating them into industrial-scale applications remains a major challenge.⁣
⁣⁣
In this lecture, Prof. Mozetic will discuss how experimental results from small plasma reactors can be systematically scaled up to large industrial reactors, with emphasis on plasma species, fluxes, fluences, surface mechanisms, and the technological challenges involved in scale-up.⁣
⁣⁣
Upscaling is a technological, not merely a scientific, challenge.⁣
⁣⁣
Prof. Mozetic has led more than 50 applied and industrial projects, published over 400 peer-reviewed articles, and holds more than 20 EU and/or US patents.⁣
