The public is invited to a book talk featuring Ms. Sigrid Marianne Gayangos and her new book of stories, _Laut_ (UP Press, 2022) on May 4, Thursday, 3:00 pm at the CHSS Mini Theater!

Sigrid was born and raised in Zamboanga City, is currently based in Dumaguete City, and is in Davao for a month to meet her students face-to-face in UP Mindanao.
From the foreword by Kristine Ong-Muslim: “In her stories, the tropical seas, the ocean, the waters, the vast archipelagic realms become sites of the unknowable, sometimes even forbidding places that refuse to give up their stories.”
