The UP Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) led the Alumni Relations Committee (ARC) Convention via Zoom last October 23-24, 2025. The two-day convention was attended by System and Constituent University (CU) OAR directors and staff, to discuss issues and plans for systemwide initiatives.
On the first day, with the theme “Look Back, Connect, & Learn,” alumni relations officers from across the UP system shared updates and accomplishments for the year, challenges their respective offices faced, and best practices done by their office for other CU OARs to consider and adapt.
The second day, with the theme “Innovate, Commit, & Look Ahead,” focused more on the plans for collaboration and scaling of OAR initiatives system-wide. A discussion was also held to tackle how to utilize AI in the workspace to promote efficiency, especially for offices that experience gaps in manpower.
The Alumni Relations Committee Convention is held annually, to serve as a space for Office of Alumni Relations Directors and other relevant offices and parties, to discuss and plan activities to continuously improve its services for UP and its alumni.
