The Upsilon Sigma Phi congratulates Atty. Avelino D. Tolentino III ’01 for being appointed as Assistant Secretary of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
The DHSUD is the government’s central housing authority, which plans, manages, and regulates the creation and development of housing projects in the country.
Prior to his appointment, Fellow Avelino was the Assistant Secretary at the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines, and a Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo School of Law. Furthermore, he took up a special program for Urban and Regional Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
